A magma cum laude Cornell University graduate and 2007 Crain’s Business 40 Under 40 honoree, Simon has been a frequent judge of work for the global advertising and music industries. His expertise is frequently called upon for public presentations, university seminars and television interviews. Bloomberg Television recently called on Simon to be its “Mystery Guest” representing the advertising and commercial music production industry. Recently, JSM was been included in each and every SHOOT Top 10 charts for Music & Sound, 2013 Emmy Award nomination and composed and produced the music for three Super Bowl XLVIII commercials. Most recently, JSM was awarded the coveted “2014 AMP Song of the Year” for the Super Bowl GoDaddy commercial “Body Builder”, as well as winning a 2014 Cannes Lion for its work on the current Hotels.com campaign. Determined to channel his success to help others, Simon is a benefactor for many charities. He is also an avid golfer, a lifelong boxing fan and remains carb free.
